Root Chakra

The Root Chakra is about structure and stability, along with our ability to take in and process our external world. If we are not stable enough to support our life, we may become unsure as to our life’s path.

Security is an element of the Root Chakra that helps keep us focused and grounded. When we don’t feel secure, we lose energy. A deep sense of security helps keep us functional in uncertain times.

The Root Chakra also carries all the information from our ancestors, which is carried through into our DNA. If your ancestors fought for something they believed in, their courage and strength is part of your genetic heritage.

Just as the roots of some diseases are carried down family lines, so are the spiritual qualities.

The Root Chakra controls our fight-or-flight hormones that are connected to the adrenal glands. These hormones put us into survival mode when we are under attack.

Keeping yourself positive and open to possibilities strengthens the Root Chakra and allows for stability and inner strength.
